What happens
Lois Lane, a reporter for the Daily Planet, receives a letter meant for Miss Louise Elaine, who has been named sole heir to an estate worth about one and a half million dollars. Louise already seems to know the letter's contents, crediting a seer named Zara. Lois grows suspicious and takes Louise to meet Mr. Harris, an attorney, who asks for $1,250 in fees before the inheritance can be released. Lois decides to visit Zara to learn how he knew about the inheritance, and the episode ends with her alone in his dim room. The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast January 10, 1947, is a radio serial, and this is part two of a multi-part story.
Metropolis, at the Daily Planet and at Miss Louise's home, the law office of Harris and Brady, and Zara's dimly lit parlor.
Characters: Lois Lane, Miss Louise Elaine, Zara, Mr. Harris, Mr. Wiesner
Listen for: Zara's claim that he can foresee the future, and Mr. Harris asking for $1,250 in fees before the inheritance is paid.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
