What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen are held aboard a ship by a foreign agent, while young Pug Flanagan works to free them. Pug breaks the cabin light and climbs a rope, but a henchman tries to cut it and Pug falls into the storm-swept sea. Superman hears his cry and goes to rescue him from the dark water. Back on the ship, Clark and Jimmy learn a torpedo may be coming, and the crew prepares for trouble. The Superman adventure is part nine of a serial from The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on May 9, 1941.
