What happens
Robin, the young assistant of Batman, comes to Superman after Batman vanishes while working on a case he calls the most important of his life. Robin describes how men surrounded the cottage at Queen's Point, forcing him and the butler Alfred into hidden tunnels, and how he escaped by boat before a speedboat chased him. Superman tells Robin to trust Clark Kent, then leaves. Later, Clark Kent and Dick Grayson go to a wax museum called Zoltan's, where they see wax figures in the dark, one of which resembles the missing Batman. This episode is part five of the 1945 serial The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on March 2, 1945.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
