What happens

Clark Kent and Lois Lane search Stone Ridge for the truth behind the trouble in town, and they finally find Ralph Marlowe held prisoner at a deserted logging camp. Matt Goulan, Cass Stryker's right-hand man, is the suspected captor. The reporters are trapped when a log jam sends massive logs crashing down on the flimsy shack. Superman rescues Lois and Ralph from the wreckage and the river, then breaks up the log jam. Mayor Perry White arrives on the scene and learns what has happened, and Stryker begins to question Goulan's reliability. As the crowd turns against Stryker, a warrant is issued for his arrest, and the episode closes with a newspaper accusing him of theft.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
