What happens
Clark Kent and Major Campbell of the Secret Service search Max Teller's penthouse, a base for a foreign spy ring, and find a compressed-air plane catapult on the terrace. Two of Teller's men capture them, and Kent, using his powers as Superman, overcomes the gunmen. Meanwhile, Teller and his partner, the Yellow Mask, hold Lois Lane in a hidden factory, where they reveal a mechanical man built to carry incendiary bombs toward a shipyard. Lois must decide whether to speak and stop the machine, and the episode ends with the giant steel figure heading for the doors. The Adventures of Superman is a radio series, and this is the eighth part of its Mechanical Man storyline, first broadcast on January 5, 1942.
