What happens
Clark Kent, reporter and secretly Superman, works with Major Campbell of the Secret Service to track Max Heller, a German espionage agent. The two men find a penthouse whose bare rooms turn into furnished ones through a hidden control panel, and discover a terrace fitted with an airplane catapult. Kent concludes that Heller may have escaped by plane and has the blueprints for a mechanical man. Kent and Campbell speculate about the danger Heller poses and how best to catch him. Lois Lane's disappearance remains unexplained. The episode is part seven of the serial The Adventures of Superman, broadcast on January 2, 1942, and the transcript does not name its lead actors.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
