What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane, reporters for the Daily Planet, drive toward Linwood to investigate reports of a huge radio-controlled mechanical man that is rampaging across the countryside. Along the way they hear frightened accounts from a gas station attendant, and they learn that the metal giant is heading for an orphanage. At the orphanage, the superintendent Mr. Danforth and the matron Miss Perkins argue over whether to ring the lunch bell while a thousand children are gathered. Police are unavailable, and the machine is seen approaching the building. Clark Kent sets out alone to meet it, while Lois pleads with him to stay. The episode ends with the creature still advancing and the outcome unresolved.
