What happens
Clark Kent, the mild-mannered reporter for the Daily Planet, and his colleague Lois Lane face a strange threat in this installment of The Adventures of Superman. A foreign agent, working with the escaped criminal the Yellow Mask, has come to the laboratory of inventor Wallace Thornton to obtain his mechanical man, a steel robot controlled by radio. Thornton is held at gunpoint and bound, and the Yellow Mask takes the blueprints. The robot then breaks loose, smashing through the building and advancing toward the highway, terrifying motorists and residents. Editor Perry White hears reports of the creature, and Kent and Lois set out to find it. The episode first aired on December 24, 1941.
