What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet, has joined Major Evans Dover's flying expedition to the Central American jungle. Dover reveals that his real goal is to obtain the sacred mummy of the Goddess Ashta, which is said to look like a sleeping woman. After a fire at the plane, Kent and the major are drawn into a plan with Chief Tasso and the cockney deserter Burt to remove the high priest Kamado from power. Kent then becomes trapped with Chief Tasso in the lake of the crocodiles surrounding the temple, as the water rises and the crocodiles move toward the narrow road. This is the fourth part of the 1940 episode The Mayan Treasure from The Adventures of Superman, first aired on August 19, 1940.
The Central American jungle, including a native village, a river where the plane is moored, and the temple of the Goddess Ashta surrounded by a lake of crocodiles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
