What happens

Clark Kent and Scotland Yard detective Herbert Carter search for young Bucky Taylor, an orphan held by a mysterious plotter known as the man without a face. In Bavaria, Clark examines files with Colonel Ivan Strogonoff on Count von Luder, a former associate of Hitler believed dead. Meanwhile Bucky, held in a flooding stone tower in a French castle, is pressed by an unseen voice to reveal where his father hid a story, and he agrees to talk in hope of gaining time. A postmarked envelope gives Clark a lead toward a castle, and he sets out in his Superman costume. The episode, first broadcast on March 27, 1947, is the eighth part of the serial and is part of The Adventures of Superman radio series.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
