What happens

Clark Kent and Herbert Corkins, a Scotland Yard detective, search for young Bucky Taylor, son of a former Daily Planet correspondent, who has been taken by a sinister figure known as the Man Without a Face. Philippe, an intelligence man, lies critically wounded after a blood transfusion, and the investigators hope he will regain consciousness and reveal what he knows about a plot against the World Peace Organization. Philippe tells them of a photograph kept in a trunk and suggests a search in Bavaria. Kent then leaves in his Superman guise to fly there. The story then shows Bucky, alone in a bare stone room in a French chateau, being pressed by an unseen voice to reveal where his father hid a story.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
