What happens
Clark Kent, the mild-mannered reporter, searches for a man named Philippe after finding a slip of paper with the address 25 Rue Frontenac in a battered typewriter belonging to Bucky Taylor, the missing son of a murdered foreign correspondent. Kent questions a pet shop proprietor and a doctor, neither of whom admits knowing the man, and then travels to the rooming house at that address. There he finds Herbert Corkins of Scotland Yard lying bound and gagged in the attic room, and the man Kent sought is nowhere to be seen. The part heard here ends with the mystery deepened and Kent's search still unresolved.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
