What happens

Clark Kent, the reporter who is secretly Superman, stays with a doctor while investigating strange coyote howls on Comanche Joe's ranch. Comanche Joe and Tumbleweed Jones are trapped in a collapsed mountain cave with the captive Ronson, running low on air. Clark borrows a car to get back to the ranch, leaving Jimmy Olsen behind, while Comanche tribal drums send out a desperate call for help. The Adventures of Superman is a radio series in which Superman fights crime and injustice. This recording is a part of a multi-part story, and it ends with Superman racing toward the mountain, unsure whether he will reach the men in time.

Comanche Joe's ranch and the mountains nearby, including a cave that has collapsed, with an Indian camp and bonfire on the mountain.

Characters: Clark Kent, Superman, Jimmy Olsen, Comanche Joe, Tumbleweed Jones, Ronson, Chief Running Fox

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
