What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen are staying the night at the home of the doctor who treated Jimmy after the recent accidents. Jimmy keeps worrying about his friend Tumbleweed Jones, who went into a mountain cave with Comanche Joe to capture the man behind the accidents, and the cave has since collapsed, trapping the three men inside. Clark tries to reassure Jimmy and promises to phone the ranch to check that all is well. The ranch operator reports no answer, and distant drums begin beating in the hills. Clark senses that the drums are trying to convey a message. This is an episode of the radio series The Adventures of Superman, which was first broadcast on January 8, 1941.
