What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen visit Comanche Joe on his western ranch, where the ranch foreman Ronson secretly schemes to force Joe into selling his land for oil by exploiting an old Indian legend that a howling coyote signals danger. Ronson has arranged for Jimmy to ride a horse called Gentle Lamb, which turns dangerous when spurred. Jimmy rides out with Dusty, Ronson's henchman, while Clark and Joe inspect the oil fields. The story shifts between their separate paths as a snowstorm closes in and Jimmy is badly hurt in a fall. Tumbleweed Jones sets out across dangerous mountain trails to bring a doctor. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, with Jimmy's fate and Tumbleweed's journey still unresolved.
A remote western ranch and the surrounding mountains and oil fields, with the ranch's Comanche reservation nearby.

Listen for: The sound of the coyote's howl and the moment Jimmy is spurred onto Gentle Lamb.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
