What happens
Superman, disguised as Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen are back in Metropolis after the Hudson Bay mystery of the headless Indians. They are shopping for a gift for editor Perry White, who is recovering from his injuries in hospital. Jimmy suggests a plastic cast of an Indian on a pony, a copy of the statue The End of the Trail, which the group takes to White's home. The cast is given to White at a dinner held for him, and he places it in his library. Later that evening, the statue is found smashed on the floor of the library, and Clark notices that the window to the terrace is open while the curtains are still. Clark concludes that the statue was deliberately swept from the table, and the group is left to wonder who did it and why.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
