What happens
Superman and his companions travel to the Hudson Bay region of northern Canada to investigate the headless Indian, a figure said to ride a flaming horse through the forest at night. Lois Lane, lost in a blizzard after the death of Niles Graham, is rescued by Superman and carried back to the lodge. Superman then confronts the rider and finds a platform, ropes and pulleys hidden in the trees, and a man named Joe who explains the scheme. Sebastian Beauvoir and Nespa remain at the lodge, where strange laughter is heard from behind a locked door. This is part 18 of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on November 18, 1942.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
