What happens
Clark Kent, Perry White and Jimmy Olsen are staying at Sebastian Beauvay's hunting lodge in northern Canada when a howl announces the headless Indian, whose third sighting is said to mean death. Sebastian is terrified, and Clark and Perry go out into the snow to follow the rider's tracks. The trail leads them to a canyon where the hoofprints grow fainter and seem to end in mid-air. Niles Graham, who has been following them with a rifle, takes aim at the two men. This is the eleventh part of the serial The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on 1942-11-09.
A hunting lodge in the Hudson Bay region of northern Canada, and the snowy woods and canyon beyond it, at night.
Characters: Clark Kent, Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, Sebastian Beauvay, Niles Graham, Lois Lane
Listen for: The howl announcing the headless Indian, the snowy trail that seems to vanish over the canyon, and the rifle shot at the end.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
