What happens
Clark Kent, Harry White, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen fly toward Hudson Bay to visit Sebastian Bovey, an old friend of White's, who sent a letter asking for help. Before the trip, White and Kent quarrel bitterly and Kent is fired, but the two later make up. On the trip the travelers board a rickety old bush plane piloted by a worried pilot. Soon after takeoff the engine begins to fail, smoke fills the cabin, and the aircraft plunges toward the river with everyone on board. The episode ends on this cliffhanger, with Clark Kent not yet having acted as Superman.
