What happens
Editor Perry White receives an urgent letter from his friend Sebastian Beauvay, asking him to come to a hunting lodge in northern Canada. White, Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen prepare to leave, but strange events suggest someone wants to stop them. Superman has already confronted the Laffer, a sinister figure who admits he means to prevent the party from reaching the lodge. In the Laffer's penthouse, the Laffer and his sleepy associate plot to stop the group before they board their plane to Ottawa. The plan involves a taxi driver and a box of explosives hidden beneath a coat. The episode is part five of The Adventures of Superman, a radio serial from 1942 that aired on October 30 of that year, and this part ends with the taxi stopped on the way to the airport and the bomb still in place.
