What happens
Clark Kent, Lois Lane and editor Perry White are preparing a trip to the Hudson Bay region of northern Canada, where their old friend Sebastian Beauvay has asked for help. In a sporting goods shop, a rifle goes off with White in its line. Lois believes Clark caught the bullet, and Clark jokingly pretends to prove it by crushing it in his fist. Afterward, Clark follows the man who fired the shot to an apartment house, where he confronts a man named Kilrae. Kilrae reveals that he is afraid of someone called the Laffer, who has just awakened in the next room.
