What happens
Jimmy Olsen, a cub reporter for the Daily Planet, is held captive by Frank Hill, leader of a hate-mongering group calling itself the Guardians of America. After a failed attempt to signal Clark Kent through an organ grinder, Jimmy is forced into a black sedan with two henchmen, Eric and Carl, who plan to drop him from a bridge into the river. Back at the Daily Planet, editor Perry White grows anxious over the missing reporter and is reluctant to involve the police. Superman searches the city for Jimmy, and the episode ends on a cliffhanger as a girl in a tenement finds Jimmy's note in her father's coat. The Adventures of Superman is a radio series; this part was broadcast in 1946.
