What happens
Jimmy Olsen, posing as a young tough, has infiltrated the Guardians of America, a hate-mongering organization led by a mysterious man who speaks from behind a black velvet curtain. The leader unmasks Jimmy as a spy, reveals that art dealer Adolf Klein is one of his members, and orders Jimmy locked in an empty room to be drowned in the river after dark. Clark Kent and editor Perry White wait at the Daily Planet for word from Jimmy. Trapped in the room, Jimmy tries the door, then tosses a coin wrapped in a note to an organ grinder below, hoping help will come. This is part 21 of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast May 14, 1946.
