What happens
Clark Kent and Ed Jenks, a real estate agent, wait in an old abandoned gold mine on Steve Graham's ranch for a mysterious buyer they believe is behind the strange accidents on the Bar O Ranch. Graham arrives and argues with Kent, who searches the mine and finds a rock that Jenks cannot identify. Lois Lane appears, having ridden alone to the mine, and the group discovers that the rock is iron pyrite, or fool's gold. Their search is interrupted when a landslide blocks the tunnel entrance, trapping Kent, Lane and Jenks in the dark underground. The episode is part four of the 1942 Superman serial, first aired on February 16, 1942, and is still unresolved at its close.
