What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane investigate a series of accidents at the Bar O Ranch, which are blamed on a mysterious ghost car. After a fire destroys a barn, owner Steve Graham reluctantly considers selling the property to a real estate agent, Ed Jenks, who has been pressing him to sell. Kent questions Jenks, who says he is acting for an unknown client and that he has been threatened into continuing his efforts. Kent devises a plan to lure the man behind the offers to a meeting at an abandoned gold mine on the ranch, where he waits in the dark with Jenks.
