What happens

Superman learns that the planet Apollo has left its orbit and is being drawn toward the sun. Dr. John Millison, a famous scientist, tells him the planet may already be lost, but Superman refuses to abandon the people he promised to help. Millison agrees to build a device that would let Superman survive the krypton-rich atmosphere of Apollo for a limited time. On Apollo, the scientist Sane and his daughter Lalo watch their mountains crumble as the planet breaks apart. Superman sets out toward the sun, leaving Dr. Millison and Dr. Bloomfield watching from the observatory terrace.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
