What happens
Superman, the hero from Earth, is trapped on the planet Apollo by the tyrant Ros, who has him thrown into a lake of burning oil. Superman survives, escapes with Faine and his daughter Lalo, and leaves them in a hidden village beside the Sea of Mercury while he flies back toward Earth with a sample of Apollo's atmosphere for scientists there. This installment of The Adventures of Superman, a 1946 radio serial, follows Superman as his strength drains and he is drawn toward the sun.
