What happens
Clark Kent and young Jimmy Olsen, a copy boy for the Daily Planet, search Dead Man's Island after the shipwrecked electrician Edward is nearly killed by a giant clam. Kent suspects the giant clams in the surrounding waters are connected to the island's mystery, so he and Jimmy leave Edward on the beach and make their way back through a hidden tunnel toward the stone house. Inside the tunnel they find empty clam shells, which Kent takes as support for his theory. The episode is part six of The Adventures of Superman, a transcription feature first aired on October 4, 1940.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
