What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen return to the Daily Planet in Metropolis, where Editor White asks Kent to interview British explorer Sydney Reichroft, who is lecturing in town. Kent and Jimmy find a dagger stuck in the door of Reichroft's hotel room, and Reichroft explains that it is a warning from the cult of Osiris, tied to a tomb in Egypt that she opened. Reichroft invites the reporters to join her at a magic show by the Great Gambini. During the performance, a volunteer from the audience vanishes inside a black box, and afterward the two reporters go backstage to see Gambini. The story is still in its early stages.
