What happens
Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen are in Arabia when a wealthy sheik asks Kent to find his son, who vanished fifteen years ago while searching for a lost tribe of pygmies in the Belgian Congo. The sheik has already sent six expeditions after the young man, and none have returned. Kent agrees to cable his editor and consider the trip. That evening, as Kent and Jimmy walk back to their hotel, a man in a window throws a knife at Kent, and the blade shatters against him. The two rush toward the house to learn who threw it and why. The Adventures of Superman, a 1942 radio serial, features these characters.
Arabia, in and around a crowded ancient city, and a sheik's estate with a pavilion of a hundred fountains; the Belgian Congo is referred to as the destination.
Characters: Clark Kent, Superman, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Sheik
Listen for: The sheik's request that Clark Kent find his missing son, and the knife thrown from a window at Kent and Jimmy on their walk back to the hotel.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
