What happens
Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen are in Arabia, following a kidnapping. Countess Wojciecka has been abducted by desperados led by a man called the Red Pharaoh, and Sir Microphone Bittersweet, a penniless actor disguised as a fortune teller, is helping search for her. Lois has been sent to an abandoned mosque, where the gang argues over how to finish the job. Meanwhile Kent follows Count Wojciecka through the streets of Mecca, and Superman later confronts him there. This is the Adventures of Superman, a radio serial, and this first part was first broadcast on October 12, 1942.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
