What happens
Jimmy Olsen escapes from a shack in the woods and runs for help after seeing a green-sparking atom man battle Superman on a lonely beach. He reaches a trapper's cabin and asks for a telephone. Meanwhile, on the ravaged beach, the atom man and his former master Toifel argue bitterly over Superman's apparent death, the dwindling power of the kryptonite in their blood, and plans to destroy Metropolis. The quarrel turns violent as the atom man turns on his master, and the story builds toward a dramatic climax.
