What happens
Superman, the hero of this old-time radio serial, is missing after his battle with Henry Miller, the Atom Man, a half-mad figure who draws power from kryptonite. Sheriff Simpson and his deputy Fred examine the scorched beach, where they find a pistol, a red cloth, and signs of a buried body. Jimmy Olsen, who saw green sparks shooting from Miller's hands, helps with the search. The sheriff sends the deputy and Olsen to alert the state police about Miller. Later, two duck hunters and their dog find a deep hole in the sand, and the story closes with the question of whether Superman is still alive.
