What happens
Superman returns to the Daily Planet office and finds a stranger, Henry Miller, going through Lois Lane's desk. Miller claims he is a new reporter who came back for a cigarette case he left behind, and Lois and Jimmy Olsen accept his explanation. Superman then grows weak and dazed in the room, and he begins to suspect that a green stone in Lois's ring may be the cause. He asks Jimmy to take the ring to Dr. John Millison for examination. Millison finds the stone is not kryptonite, but Superman is still unsettled and fears a new threat is closing in.
