What happens
Superman, disguised as Clark Kent, confronts Van Doren, the secret boss of a gang that has stolen five million dollars in gold. Van Doren's men are trapped in their cave hideout after he is unmasked by a trick. Superman learns the gold train carrying two million dollars is already ahead of schedule and heading toward Rainbow Bridge, which the gang has rigged with dynamite. Racing through the sky, he holds up the bridge's sway long enough for the train to cross safely. Afterwards, Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen face editor White, who is unconvinced by their account. Strange events then follow in the office, including a shattered picture and an arrow, hinting at a new threat.
