What happens
Superman, the mild-mannered Clark Kent, and the young reporter Jimmy Olsen face a gang of train robbers who have stolen gold from a moving freight train. In a hidden mountain cave, Superman questions captured thugs, who explain how they uncoupled and secretly moved a money car while the train's ends were slowed. They reveal they answer only to a boss they have never seen, who communicates by loudspeaker and shortwave radio. Meanwhile, a second shipment of two million dollars in gold is on a train scheduled to cross Rainbow Bridge, where the gang has laid dynamite. The episode is part of The Adventures of Superman, first aired on December 9, 1940.
