What happens
Superman, having lost his memory after being fed liquid kryptonite, wanders as a drifter named Bud. After escaping a village jail, he catches a fast ball for a baseball manager named Shorty Taylor and is offered a job pitching for the Gainesville Colts. Meanwhile, George Latimer's detectives continue to search for him. Back in Metropolis, editor Perry White and cub reporter Jimmy Olsen recognize a resemblance between the pitcher and their missing colleague Clark Kent, and they set out for Gainesville to see for themselves.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
