What happens
Superman, having lost his memory after being fed liquid kryptonite by Big George Latimer and Dr. Marsh, wanders as an amnesiac in ragged overalls. In this episode of The Adventures of Superman, broadcast on June 5, 1947, Perry White pressures police to find the missing Clark Kent while Latimer's private detective, Frank McGuire, tracks the man he believes is Superman. A village constable locks up the bewildered stranger as a vagrant and contacts McGuire, who arranges to pay for his return. The episode ends on a cliffhanger as the constable awaits the detective's visit and the reward.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
