What happens
Superman lies weakened and helpless in an old deserted mill, held captive by the crooked politician George Latimer, who keeps a piece of kryptonite within reach of him. Latimer taunts him and vows to starve him to death. Outside, Batman flies overhead searching for his missing friend, and Latimer's henchman Gus spots the plane and reports it. Latimer orders the bat plane shot down, and Batman, struggling to keep control of his damaged aircraft, radios Robin for help. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
