What happens
Professor Thorpe and his diver Gleason are trapped in their bathysphere on the floor of Octopus Bay after the storm snaps its cables. Clark Kent, aboard the Juanita with Captain Maddox, dives to search for the diving bell, while the trapped men wait with dwindling oxygen. The bathysphere is raised and the two men are rescued, and the ship settles for the night with the recovered Spanish gold on board. Meanwhile, the henchmen Carlos and Pizarro slip quietly toward the ship in a rowboat, hoping to take the treasure for themselves.
