What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet, has joined Professor A. B. Thorpe on a Caribbean expedition to recover a sunken Spanish gold treasure. The gold has been raised and placed aboard the Juanita under Captain Maddox, and the professor hopes it will fund his scientific institute. Late at night, two armed men slip aboard and steal the gold, leaving Maddox badly wounded. Kent rushes the injured captain toward Manau Harbor. Back in New York, editor Perry White sends reporter Bill Wentworth to find the missing boat, and copy boy Jimmy Olsen stows away with him. In Manau, the pair begin asking questions about a man named Pete Escobar.
