What happens
Clark Kent interviews June Anderson, a former office secretary who found proof that the North Star Mining Company's officers, Bartley Pemberton and Joseph Deneen, were selling stock in a mine with no gold in it. After she confronts them, the two men attack her, and she hides the incriminating papers aboard a freight steamer with her brother. Kent follows the case to the newspaper office, where a visitor posing as Dr. Ambrose asks him questions. The episode is part of The Adventures of Superman and aired on March 8, 1940.
