What happens
Clark Kent travels to the jungles of Central America in search of an antidote to the poison given to the Metropolis University football team. He is accompanied by John Carter, manager of a rubber plantation, and a local guide known as Tango Pete. That night, a tribe of head-hunting natives attacks the plantation and surrounds the cottage where the three men are waiting, armed with rifles. Carter tries to negotiate with the natives through Pete, while tensions rise between the men over the guide's dishonesty and the danger they face. The story is part thirteen of the Superman serial, which aired on 1941-09-29 as a transcription feature, and the episode is introduced in the series' standard manner.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
