What happens
Clark Kent travels to the jungle plantation of Purnambuco in Central America to obtain a brown crystalline antidote needed to revive the poisoned Metropolis football team. Plantation manager John Carter and a local man called Pangal Pete are involved in the arrangements, and Pete is planning to extract a heavy price for leading Kent to the tribe that holds the antidote. Strange drumming sounds from the jungle, followed by darts thrown from the dark, put the settlement on alert. This is part twelve of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on September 26, 1941.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
