What happens
Clark Kent, the mild-mannered reporter who is also Superman, is in a Central American jungle after a tribe of Indians poisoned John Carter, a rubber plantation manager. Kent learns that the tribe holds the only antidote to the poison, and that the same antidote could help the Metropolis football team, which has been given a brain-numbing potion. Kent seeks out the tribe's chief and tries to secure the medicine. This is part fourteen of The Adventures of Superman, a radio series, and the episode first aired on October 1, 1941. The episode is an adventure serial, and the lead actor is not named in the transcript.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
