What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet, learns that Martha Hawkins, a woman at the Cedar Crest Sanatorium, has been drugging the members of a Metropolis football team. She threatens Lois Lane with a revolver and tries to burn her dead brother's diary, which holds the location of a tribe that knows the antidote. Clark calls the sanatorium, and after a struggle the diary is partly saved. Superman flies to Central America, where manager John Carter of a Pernambuco rubber plantation sends him to a trader named Tango Pete. Pete says the Nahuatl tribe is no longer where the diary placed it and invites Clark to his shack after dark, alone.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
