What happens
Clark Kent and Perry White, of the Daily Planet, escape an oxygen chamber at the Cita Crest Sanatorium after a hatchet-faced woman gasses them. Clark, who can become Superman, frees them, and they force her to admit that a man called Dr. Wilson is behind the scheme. When a visitor arrives at the sanatorium and drives away, the two reporters follow him in a fast chase along the main road. The pursuit ends in a crash, and the injured driver, who gives his name as Dr. Stone, makes a dire statement about the Metropolis football team. This is part eight of the Superman serial, which aired on September 17, 1941, with the lead voice actors not named in the transcript.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
