What happens
Clark Kent and editor Perry White travel to the Cedar Crest Sanatorium to meet a source about a will that names the sanatorium as a beneficiary. The pair are led into a windowless room and, through a hidden speaker, a mysterious voice announces that they will be kept there until after Saturday's football game, which the voice wants Metropolis to lose. White rages and tries to bargain while Kent presses a bell button for help, and gas begins to fill the chamber. The Metropolis University football team has been collapsing, and Kent has been investigating whether someone is sabotaging it to gain a three million dollar legacy. This is the seventh part of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on September 15, 1941.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
