What happens
Clark Kent investigates a plot against the Metropolis University football team, which must win its final game to earn a Rose Bowl invitation and raise money for the university's research laboratory. Kent and young Jimmy learn that three people stand to inherit the gift if the university fails, and that a lawyer named Quincy has been holding the will. Kent is unmasked by a surprise intruder, and the will's beneficiaries are named. Coach Spike Taylor describes the team's preparations, and a gorilla is reported loose at the research laboratory. Jimmy then reports seeing the team's cook add a medicine to the milk, but when Kent and Taylor reach the kitchen, the cook has already disappeared. This episode is part five of the Metropolis Football Team Poisoned storyline in The Adventures of Superman, first aired September 10, 1941.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
