What happens
Clark Kent, reporter for the Daily Planet, investigates after the Metropolis University football team collapsed in the final quarter of a game. Coach Taylor explains that the university needs three million dollars from the will of the late Mr. Richard to fund a medical research laboratory, but only if it first raises five hundred thousand dollars through its own efforts, and the team's success is tied to that fundraising. Professor Nelson shows Kent the laboratory, where research on infantile paralysis is conducted with monkeys. Kent then visits the law offices of Quincy, Caldwell and Scott to ask who inherits the money if the university fails to raise its share. Superman is the adventure's title character, and this recording is a radio serial from the 1941 run of the series.

Listen for: Kent's questions about who inherits the bequest if the university fails to raise its money, and his suspicion that one of three beneficiaries is working against the university
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
